Hey Everyone, please post on my English Blog!!!! I'll post on yours, let's work as a team!
I think this is ridiculous that this family could possibly get 3 million dollars. I understand that there are predators who look for kids and pose as younger kids. But I also think that the parents of the child should have been monitoring what was going on. My sister is 14 and she had a myspace, she deleted it on her own because of reading articles on how colleges will research to see her life in high school. Anyway she knows better, she had her myspace set on private so that only her friends could openly view it and visitors had to become a "friend" first. It sucks that this girl was stupid enough to meet someone from online but it also is pretty stupid of her anyway. If she is that outgoing her parents shouldn't let go online without being monitored. People are sue happy these days and they'll do whatever it takes.

Being a celebrity must be nice, except for the paparazzi. I know I personally wouldn't want my kids to be bashed by them. That is why I agree with Angelina Jolie with going to Africa to have her baby. This article is not that good, but I still read it. I love to read about Angelina Jolie. Maybe Britney Spears should follow the footsteps so she won't be criticized for all of her actions.

Maria Ruffato- English Secondary Education- ruffmc56@mail.buffalostate.edu
Everyone read this article. It is about a book for teens and 20somethings about sex. No, it doesn't promote abstinence but it actually promotes sex. In the book it says that teens are ready for sex before they graduate and that even "casual sex" is great. I think America has come a long way. This is really a huge something that kids don't need. They need to be told the truth about life, sex and what it has instore. They have enough influence on sex already. What does everyone think?

Yes, I admit folks, I am a junkie of Hollywood entertainment. I don't talk about it much, but some things "razz" me up a bit. American Idol star, Taylor Hicks "tops People's Hottest Bachelors" list. Excuse me, I am so sick of the whole reality tv part of America right now. I only watch the "rejects" episodes in the beginning. Anyway, Hicks looks like Jay Leno from one of those old dorito commercials. Come on people, Hicks definitely can sing, but apparently singing adds good looks to people. He is on a higher level than Matthew McConaughey, what is going on with People Magazine. It is just crazy to me. Personally, I am not into old looking men and grey hair looks sexy on George Clooney, but on Hicks it makes him look about 50! But he is number 1 according to the Crazy People Magazine, congrats to all the Hick lovers out there, oops I mean HickS.

Here is a sad article on heroin. This is bad because not only is a mixed drug dangerous but because of this bad mixture many people are dying. This makes me very sad, but how am I supposed to pity someone who makes a choice like doing drugs. Actually on of my friends has been doing drugs very heavily and I am upset. There really is nothing you can do but try to get them to stop. But how?

ABORTION

I just read the article about Hillary Clinton and her standings on abortion. I am anti-abortion due to the idea that every child deserves the right to be born. If the woman were raped then I can maybe agree for an abortion. This idea of unwanted pregnancies that Clinton talks about looks like she's just trying to look good. No matter what contraceptives are out there, there will still be the women who make annual trips to have abortions because they don't care. It's absolutely ridiculous to think that these women won't use birth control or even try to maybe be abstinent. This is your America, will it change? Probably not.

I was just reading the newspaper and found these sites. Click here. It is interesting to read what all these people are saying about al-Zarqawi's death.

Here is one from a "Neurotic-wife."
Paparazzi

Sometimes I think people are too caught up in the lives of others. Isn't it so annoying when you're talking to a friend at work and someone jumps in your conversation and says "who, what are you talking about?" I think that is one of my biggest pet peeves. People are too caught up in Spears' life, just leave the girl alone regardless of her life and what she does. Honestly, people care too much, if people would only worry about their own lives, but then again who really cares?
